On March 10, 2020 North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper declared a state of emergency after several people tested positive for coronavirus.  The NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has recommended that employers and employees use teleworking technologies to the greatest extent possible. Additionally, employers should:  
  • Urge employees to stay home when they are sick and maximize flexibility in sick leave benefits.
  • Consider staggering start and end times to reduce large numbers of people coming together at the same time.
  NC DHHS has recommended that organizers of mass gathering events that primarily draw high-risk persons, including those that attract older adults, should consider cancelling or postponing these events.  No more than 10 people can gather.   First Baptist Church has honored Governor Cooper’s request.  Although we are not in the church building, there are many ways to contact us during this closure.  You may contact us by doing the following:

      Worship Services and Bible Study We will have virtual worship services until the state provides clearance for large gatherings to resume. Join us for worship service on Sundays at 9:45 a.m. by visiting www.1st-baptist.com and click on YouTube or Facebook icon.  You can also log onto YouTube or Facebook by using the login:  1stbaptistmoore.     You can join us for Bible Study on Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m. using the same source.       Dial-In Access to Services Seniors who do not have internet access may dial into Sunday’s worship services at 11:30 a.m. by calling 510-335-8092.  Contact the church office for the passcode.     Tithes & Offerings If you would like to continue your tithes and/or offerings during this time, there are several ways you can give to the church:      and select one of the digital giving options.
